The Internet Archive offers lots of self-esteem books to borrow. Below are my favorites. They offer a variety of ways of looking at, and achieving, a healthy relationship with yourself.
Self Esteem: Simple Steps to Develop Self-Worth and Heal Emotional Wounds, by Gael Lindenfield
This book follows through on its promise to provide simple steps to achieve self-esteem and healing.
Self-Esteem, by Matthew McKay and Patrick Fanning
This book lets you be your own therapist, giving you the inside look at how a professional would diagnose and approach what is going on around self-esteem issues.
Coping Through Self-Esteem, by Rhoda McFarland
This book is directed at young people, and maybe that’s why it’s so straightforward (and useful for all ages).
Change the Way You See Yourself: Through Asset-Based Thinking, by Kathryn D. Cramer
At first, I thought this was just another “power of positive thinking” book, but after a while I realized it has really powerful techniques for focusing on what it is you want to accomplish, instead of on your fears.
Essays on Self-Esteem, by L.S. Barksdale
In these essays — all written by L.S. Barksdale — the author has a story to tell about how he thought his way out of very low self-esteem, and a strong desire to clearly share his experience for the benefit of others.
